Sources for Food and Other Supplies

Here are links to some recommended sources of food and other supplies:

Food staples:

Azure Standard.  This place is a good option for buying grains and other household groceries in bulk (or otherwise).  What I like about Azure Standard is that they have high quality foods for reasonable prices.  They will ship via standard delivery methods, but they also have a specialized drop shipment program.  To get on the drop shipment program, search for a drop in your area and then sign up to designate that you want your good drop shipped to that residence.  Drop shipments take place about once a month and can save you shipping costs on heavy items like organic wheat, organic powdered coconut, etc.

Food To Live is another favorite of mine.  They have organic ground flax meal, seeds to sprout such as mung beans and alfalfa, nuts, and dried fruit.  If you shop for a coupon you can probably get 10% off your order.  Food to Live also tells you where they have sourced their food.  Also, they will send you independent lab test results upon request to provide support for the products being free of toxic chemicals.

A great place to obtain bulk supplement is Pure Bulk, I believe they are much higher quality than many of the sellers that you'll find on Amazon.  For regular supplements (in capsules or tablets), I often find that AllStar Health has the best prices.  A online seller named iHerb is quite good as well.

A recent discover of mine (at an April 2022 preparedness expo) was a company called OvaEasy that utilizes a unique low temperature crystal freeze drying process.  Company representatives were cooking samples of scrambled eggs there at the expo and the eggs tasted like freshly cooked eggs to me (they made a sale!).  Because of their drying process they claim the eggs have better nutrition and taste than other dried eggs on the market.

Sometimes you can find good specials on good foods at Food Service Direct, but more often the foods sold are not for the health conscious.

You may be wanting to find a good source for buckets to store your dry goods in.  One good source I have located is United States Plastic Corp.  Shipping can set you back a little on the products you buy there, but you can find some buckets there that are made from food grade HDPE and which are a little thicker than what you may find from some of the other supply sources.

The best hand crank flour mill I have been able to find is made by GrainMaker out of Montana.  Here is a review of many of the popular hand crank grain mills (and Grain Maker came out well).  Just know that if you plan on getting a GrainMaker, they have been in demand and it takes about 6 to 8 weeks before you will receive your ordered mill.
